Cat Reman offers remanufactured, genuine Cat parts that offer like new performance for a fraction-of-new price with core return.
When viable parts or components have reached the end of one life, they may be returned to an authorized Cat dealer, then to Caterpillar. Robust inspections will determine whether these used parts (also referred to as core) are ready to be reclaimed.
Using the product’s OEM performance specifications and incorporating critical engineering upgrades, these parts are remanufactured to receive an additional lifecycle. This is completed through state-of-the-art salvage processes and advanced manufacturing systems, all while adhering to strict salvage and reuse guidelines and stringent quality control.

Cat Reman long blocks include short block components plus a cylinder head, camshaft and timing gears. They’re fully assembled and ready to be built into your engine — reducing downtime and labor costs with more Cat Reman content. Cat Reman short blocks are fully assembled with a cylinder block, crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods. They’re a good choice when you have crankshaft or cylinder pack issues, but your cylinder head and geartrain are in good, reusable condition.
